spring is here and we are taking advantage! graham helping with the planting was the sweetest thing i've seen yet. this is our first garden, so we're all learning as we go. no matter if the kale begins to flourish or the romaine never sees a plate, we are all together. graham will get to see how food is born!

i've been fairly insistent this time around that we leave the child's sex a labor day discovery. we found out with graham and it was SO much fun to know! but, this is our last and i want a surprise. this pregnancy i have decided against pain medication. so if we're going natural, let's go natural! "think of it as retro", i keep telling my husband.
therefore, i am keeping the list of wants and needs short and neutral. one of the nice things about having children close together is you still have some of the "baby" stuff. but, i suppose i'll be revisiting some of my favorite baby items and looking for new ones! the carrier is a must and c'mon, that's a freaking cute rattle.

kiddo number two is on the way!

we are so excited to be having another kiddo! i am due at the end of aug. and so far, things are going smoothly. this pregnancy has been so different from my first. when i was pregnant with graham i had "morning sickness" practically 24 hours a day for a month. this time, i made it through the first trimester with none. hooray! maybe nature helps you out with that a bit. maybe my body's animal instincts know i'm chasing a toddler.
i've got to get in top of my belly pics! this is going to be our last child. i must document!!! this weekend should present some opportunities for camera time. it's suppose to rain and we'll all be looking for something to do. or in my case (and graham's), looking for something to eat. last pregnancy, not so much, but this time around i am starving! nursing did it to me with graham. i could never get enough to eat!  but, the hunger has come early for this one, we'll see how it goes. more often than not it's desserts swirling around in my head. creme brulee is on the menu in my mind today...

i remember the days when i could carry a clutch, good times. i guess i still can on date nights, but they are now low on the priority list. but, if you're on the lookout for a new one, doesn't this one make you smile? HERE!

a birthday or wedding during the upcoming summer months would be an awesome opportunity to try a paleta from the cold ones cooler! local business, local ingredients, fantastical flavors! i've seen these recipes mentioned banana caramel, plum tamarind, 5-spice mango, root beer float, chocolate-ancho-cinnamon, corn-blackberry-honey, orange-vanilla bean, salted butter caramel, pear-tamarind and apple-ginger. i've even read they make yummy cocktail inspired popsicle as well. anyway, food for thought. it's the unseasonably warm weather today stirring up the summer in me.
