mother's day approaching

mother's day is nearly here and i have not been too "wowed" by ideas online. maybe that's because the day itself is not about the "wow" factor. cards, flowers, pancakes, and gifts are nice. it may be as simple as a phone call. let's not forget the mothers not here any longer and the pieces of them inside us. i have learned since becoming a mom, it's a tough job. The creation of a spanking new being is magical. i now have a new respect for moms. the real superheros however, are tougher than me. mothers of more than one kiddo, single mothers, step-mothers and mothers of special needs children should get extra applause.
